This policy explains the cookies we set and the choices you have.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data stored by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies can be used for sign-in sessions, remembering your preferences, or tracking you across sites. We only use the first two kinds.

2. Essential cookies we set

• __Secure-better-auth.session_token — your signed-in session. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Required for the site to work once you log in.
• __Secure-better-auth.session_data — a cache of your session payload to avoid hitting the database on every request. Expires in 60 seconds.

These cookies are strictly necessary. You can delete them via your browser, but the site will not work while signed in.

3. Analytics + tracking

At v1 launch, we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking script. If we add analytics in the future, you will see a cookie consent banner on your next visit letting you decline.

4. Your choices

You can clear cookies at any time in your browser's settings. Modern browsers also offer private / incognito modes that delete cookies on exit. Signing out of where.care clears the session cookies.

5. Third-party embeds

We do not embed YouTube, social share buttons, or third-party widgets that would set their own cookies. Some third-party services (Checkr, Resend, Twilio) are used server-side only — they never receive your browser cookies.
